I
am LOVING this little boy nursery. Everything about it is clean, fresh, fun and inventive! Check out that alphabet wall, the chevron shelves (that's what I want to call them) and the bright colored fabrics and paint.
I'm also loving the idea of embroidery hoops that look like balls. See that one that looks like a baseball. You could also make on of a basketball, tennis ball, bowling ball, etc. What a great idea for boys! This room was created by Hope, Longing, Life (and is guest posting it at Hyphen Interiors - one of my new favorite blogs.)
I missed posting some party highlights this week because my computer was not cooperating! Here are a few lovely projects that I would love to see in my house or do!
Looking for something rustic to go in your house? How about making some fabulous rope shelves. These ones made by Imperfectly Polished (guest posting at CSI Project) would look amazing with cabin, country or rustic decor. I've seen some rustic pieces with pristine, sleek settings and it looks amazing. (See this post at Centsational Girl).
Projects done using driftwood are gorgeous (in my opinion.) This driftwood shelf is rocking my world today! I absolutely love it! I also love the master bedroom in which it was placed at Growing Up Gardner. My husband will love that next time we go to a lake, I will bring home a pile of driftwood:)

Don't you love the way that And Then There Was Home displays her childrens' books on these DIY ledges? The kids can see all the titles and pictures and can choose what they want instead of scattering the books all over the floor! Great idea that doesn't cost that much money to implement! What a dreamy reading area!
The queen of repurposing, Gail at My Repurposed Life, turned a louvered door into a hall tree or shelving! She's not done yet, but I'm loving what I see so far.
I don't know about you, but my bookcases look messy and cluttered and full of....stuff. When I see beautiful bookcases and shelves, I'm a little jealous at their loveliness. All About Vignettes offers some advice and direction about how to make a bookcase look magnificent and shows some great pictures.
I like the look of ledges and shelves on the wall like the above picture. They are fancy and classy! Head over to Super Saturday Crafts to learn how to make your own. It doesn't look that hard!.

Three Mango Seeds liked some shelves she saw in Ballard Design so much, she made her own for her office/sewing room. Besides being completely functional, they are totally cute! Check out the dimensions of wood and how made them..
