Happy Easter from Me!!!!

I just wanted to say Happy Easter to all of you! We had a great Sunday. Our family spoke in church! My 2 1/2 yr old son got a little nervous and wouldn't talk. Dad told the congregation what Cooper had planned to say. He held a picture of a sun he drew and Dad said, "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam to shine for him each day. Jesus is a rockstar!" That is my son's testimony! My 4 1/2 yr old daughter read most of her talk about saving worms that were crawling into the road and drowning in the gutter from death last week. She likened that to be like how Jesus saves us from death because of the resurrection. She drew three pictures for the congregation to see!

My husband and I spoke about Christ overcoming death and atoning for our sins. I shared a few stories (the empty egg and a mission story) and a personal experience how I know I will see my deceased father again. Death is NOT the end! I'm grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ. It brings me much joy and peace!

Here are my kiddos on the way to church. My son insists on wearing his pinewood derby medal for the coolest looking vehicle. (His was a semi truck!)

After church, the Easter bunny came and brought some new spring clothes, books and other little gadgets. Many eggs were hidden and found! The kids loved it, but they know the real reason we celebrate Easter is to celebrate Christ's resurrection.

I hope you had an enjoyable Easter!

Cascarones - (Confetti Eggs)

A couple of years ago, our family attended an Easter egg hunt where there were many different types of eggs, treats and gadgets to find. One of my kids' favorite things were the eggs filled with confetti. I learned this week they are called cascarones from A Mom Not A Professional Nor a Perfectionist. After the egg hunt was over, everyone was smashing the cascarones on each other's heads! It was a blast!!!!

There is still time to make some of these fun eggs for your Easter celebration tomorrow. And if you don't make some tonight, keep it in mind for next year!

Earth Day Cereal Box Activities (3)

Infarrantly Creative has some great ideas for reusing cereal boxes to make 3 different items. The first idea is to make notebooks with cereal boxes as the covers.

The second is to make
food boxes into postcards. These are actually really cute!

And the third is to make a colorful art display using food boxes too.

Check all three out and start reusing the items we either recycle or throw away! The best thing we can do is to reduce our garbage output!

Painted Carriage Garage Doors!

Forever Decorating wanted the look of carriage garage doors without paying the BIG bucks. (Have checked out the price of those fancy doors? Yikes.) SO she painted her garage doors! How genius is that? VERY!!!!! I can't tell that those doors are not the real thing!

Edible Rainbow Easter Eggs

I'm thinking these edible rainbow Easter eggs are an awesome last minute addition to an Easter holiday. Choose to Thrive made them and I want a plate full of them. They look so yummy and colorful!

Magic Jellybean Turn Into Lollipop Easter/Spring Activity

Last Easter, we did this activity for our kids! They LOVED it! Looks like it will be a tradition for us. I hope it becomes a tradition for you too!

Just like Nothing But Country, we planted some "magic jelly beans" the night before Easter. We didn't have this cute FREE downloadable jellybean packet from Nothing But Country. I'm adding it to our new tradition.

The next morning, the kids walked out to the dirt where we planted the jellybeans and there stood some giant lollipops. I bought the lollipops at Walgreens for $1 (I think.) The kids were amazed.

Download the FREE "Magic Jellybean" packets for this fun Easter or Spring activity.
